Megan is an ISSA Certified Fitness Trainer and General Manager for Club Pilates Auburn. Her fitness journey began in high school, when she was overweight and inactive. For her 16th birthday, Megan’s mom gave her a gym membership. When she began working out and making lifestyle changes, the extra weight dropped as her commitment to health and wellness continued to grow. Wanting to share this eagerness with others, Megan applied to teach group fitness classes at the local gym. She was turned down. This didn’t stop her. She went on to achieve two Bachelor’s Degrees from Illinois State University, in Program Management and Commercial Recreation, along with an Exercise Science minor. She first met her husband, Tod, while working at the Student Rec Center. Since then, Megan has competed in two NPC Bikini competitions, was featured in the Rising Stars column of Oxygen magazine and has turned her pastime into her passion. Megan has contributed to publications such as Train for Her, Train, Amazing Wellness, Muscle & Performance, and Proactive Health Magazine. It wasn’t until Christmas 2014 that Megan reconnected with Tod when he was visiting family in Chicago for the holidays. They spent the day in the city and haven’t gone a day without talking since then. Upon moving from her home town of Chicago to Auburn in 2015, Megan married Tod, becoming a stepmom to his son Courtney. They are members of St. Michael’s Church and recently added sweet pup Snoozer to the family. Join Megan on Instagram at @megan.m.meisner.
