Quick and Easy Last-Minute Valentine for Kids

1

It’s 2 days before Valentine’s Day and you still have to make Valentines for every kid in each of your children’s classes, and if you’re like me you want to spare the other parents from the wrath that is sure to follow the sugar overload, and at the same time want something quick and easy.

So what’s a busy mom to do? Make easy Heart Shaped Crayons!

All you need is a bunch of old crayons, a heart shaped silicone mold, and about 15 minutes.

Step 1:

Peel the paper off crayons and break into 1 inch pieces.

Step 2:

Place the broken pieces in the mold.

Step 3:

Place in an oven pre-heated to 230F for 15 minutes.

Step 4:

Remove from the oven and let cool COMPLETELY. If you are impatient, like I am, stick in the fridge to speed up the cooling process.

Step 5:

Pop the cooled crayons out of the mold and using tape attach them to a piece of card stock. Need a template? Use the file below!

This is probably the easiest valentine I have ever done, but also the most creative!!

  1. We used to make these in regular muffin tins so we called them Pog crayons since they were disc shaped. The hearts are super cute!
